We provide legal services, advice, and assistance primarily for small to medium-sized businesses. We also act for not-for-profit organizations. When starting a business enterprise, there are important decisions to be made, such as whether or not to incorporate. We provide advice in relation to those decisions once the structure of the organization has been determined, we will explain the various business-related issues to be addressed such as governance arrangements and registration requirements. Shareholder or partnership agreements may be recommended to protect your interests and contribute to the smooth operation of your business. Ongoing basic services may include keeping corporate filings up to date, maintaining the corporate minute book, and ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements of Manitoba legislation and/or that of other jurisdictions in which your company or business may operate. We also provide assistance to our clients in relation to business management concerns such as employee, supplier and customer issues. We act for clients who may be acquiring or selling businesses and for organizations undergoing corporate restructuring arising from tax or succession planning strategies. We also provide legal services in connection with many other business matters including financing transactions, commercial leases and general business contracts.
